WHAT WE DO


We manage consultancy assignments in developing economies where we give advice, solve problems, team lead, train, mentor and undertake executive responsibility possibly interim management over a wide range of disciplines deploying people with many years experience. We will work to a detailed terms of reference or help you prepare one with clear outputs and a logical framework analysis for the more complex projects. We may recommend a few weeks scoping study or inception phase before all parties make commitments.

We manage services to organisations working in developing economies. We help recruit permanent staff from our database, we manage charities on behalf of Trustees, we can assist with trade deals, funding and fund raising and we lead our own multidisciplinary projects.

Our practice wherever practical is to work a through local counterpart to ensure sustainability. We work with associate organisations who complement our skills and keep us abreast of developments in intermediate technology.

We believe strongly in:

  • the reduction of poverty through enterprise development.

Martin Hodgson, with 30 years experience in the UK Inland Revenue leading the team restructuring business processes within the National Revenue Agency Bulgaria.

 

 


 

Sudan

Horticulture. Patrick Maskell with 23 years farming experience in the UK, lecturing and 5 years overseas. He is seen here training War Widows in Rumbek, Southern Sudan to grow a greater variety of vegetables and to sell to the UN camps and the local markets. Particular attention was given to crops best suited to local conditions and local diet with emphasis on plants resistant to invasive pests and diseases.


 

Graham Young, 33 years in Export Credit in the UK Civil Service, in Kuwait managing accounts for the Salvation Army's many humanitarian and enterprise development projects in Southern Iraq. Graham has undertaken over fifteen overseas finance project for governments and agencies.


 

Charity Management. Graham Smith, 27 year military career to Colonel covering a wide spectrum of roles including Foreign Office secondments overseas followed by 8 years in Africa developing commercial projects leading to full time charity work since 2003. Provides management and computer services to British Consultancy Charitable Trust on behalf of the Trustees
